In the Project Covers I had to choose a book and a record cover ( In this case Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Solange’s A Seat at the Table) and recreate the covers of these works with my reinterpretation.

On the cover of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein I decided to put the monster on the front cover and doctor Frankenstein in the back cover. The background of the monster is the fire, for being one of his parts of the discovery about the world. While Dr. Frankenstein has the Arctic glaciers as a background, as this is where much of the character’s story takes place.
In this recreation of Solange Knowles’ “A Seat at the Table” album cover, I decided to do a headshot of Solange.
Also it has some elements of the main songs of the album, like “ Cranes in the Sky” with the birds coming out of her hair. And “ Don’t Touch my Hair” for having a big emphasis on the hairstyles that Solange uses in the music video, in additon to the clothes that stand up for the colors.
